Betty Mc Cormack is a graduate of the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. While developing her skills as a painter, she taught Art for many years, mainly in Presentation College, Bray. She took up painting full-time in 1993.
She paints in oils and watercolours-as often as possible en’plein air.’ Her concern with the tender fibre of the environment and man himself is expressed through familiar and ever-changing sources, with particular emphasis on Irish landscape.
She has had three solo shows and exhibits frequently in group shows at the Cherry Lane Gallery, Beaufield Mews and with the following Associations of which she holds membership. Dublin Painting and Sketching Club, Dublin Art Society and Ulster Watercolor Society.
