The Club’s 140th Annual Exhibition opened on Sunday afternoon in the excellent Liffey Corner Gallery space in the CHQ Building on Custom House Quay. The Exhibition was opened by Eamon O’Reilly, CEO of the Dublin Port Company who spoke of the historical development of Dublin Port and his wish to develop its cultural link to the city, through the medium of the arts. Mr Mervyn Greene MD of CHQ also spoke, highlighting the development of CHQ and its prestigious EPIC exhibition. He also expressed a wish to have CHQ facilitate the development of the Arts in the area.
There was a large attendance who were impressed with the range and quality of the work exhibited and the opening day sales were very encouraging.
