Brenda Malley’s career as a professional artist spans over 25 years while living in the USA, France, and now at home in Ireland.

Brenda’s seascape paintings are characterised by the energy and fluidity of her palette knife work, and by the surface richness of colour and texture with which she expresses her subject. Through time spent immersed in the raw, remote environment of the Irish Atlantic seaboard, the artist brings to life in her paintings the movement, energy and flow of the natural elements.

She has exhibited widely both in group and solo exhibitions. Her solo exhibitions  include : Origin Gallery in 2009,  Irish Cultural Centre Boston 2010,  Terrasse des Arts in Le Cannet France in 2013 and 2015.

Selected Group Exhibitions in addition to the Dublin Painting and Sketching Club include the Dublin Art Society, the Barbara Stanley Exhibition London, The Whitethorn Gallery, Clifden, The Leinster Gallery, Dublin , Abstract Vibrations, Théoule Sur Mere , France and   Espace Culture, Théoule Sur Mere , France.
She was the recipient of a Culture Ireland award in 2010 for her solo exhibition in Boston.

Brenda divides her time between her studio in Glendarragh in the Wicklow countryside, and teaching workshops in Enniskerry and in France. Her portfolio and artist’s blog may be seen on www.brendamalley.com
