Rosemarie Thompson

Rose was born in Dublin City and now lives and works from her studio in the foothill of the Dublin Mountains.

She is a full time artist who works with pastels, mixed media and oil’s. Most of the year she paints in her studio in Kilternan or ‘en plein air’. She works mainly with still life landscapes and street scenes.

Ever since she was a child, Rose has been fascinated by colour, texture, light and shade. The last 20 years in particular has been a process of improving and refining her natural talent with professional guidance and tuition from well known artists. She has studied painting on various evening courses at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) and Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design.

Rose is a member of the Dublin Art and Sketching, the Dublin Art Society, and Lamb’s Cross Artists. She has shared countless group exhibitions including ‘art Ireland’ with Art Works Gallery Stillorgan.
