Darragh, born in 1973, was raised near Avoca, Co Wicklow.
His father Liam Treacy, a noted artist who was a member of the DPSC, first introduced Darragh to painting ‘en plein air’. He is mainly self taught, favouring oil painting in an impressionist style and while he enjoys painting landscape and street scenes he also paints still lifes.
He has exhibited at the Wexford Festival since 2011 and his work can be found in leading galleries in Dublin. His work is found in private collections at home and abroad and he has a continuous demand for private commissions.
Darragh also works as a set designer. He has received critical acclaim for this work and has won numerous design awards from the Institute of Designers of Ireland.
